I am an art teacher in the Education centre Portlaoise Prison, portlaoise, Co. Laois Ireland since the 1980s. I am delighted to see that information on the Arts in Prisons have improved so much. I ran a competition between all of the european prisons and made the first European Art Calendar a few years ago. it was a huge undertaking as I had to send letters to everyone concerned. This conference and website is a wonderful way of letting people know about the work that is going on in other prisons and also a good way to make people aware of future projects. well done!!
Best wishes Pauline Hyland
